This project saw two perpendicular modules land on the formed concrete walls of a granny flat and carport below. A formed concrete wall marks the end of the metropolis as a bedroom module projects over a contoured entry stair. Full-width glazing establishes a striking connection to the garden, utilising strategic planting to ensure privacy from the south-western neighbour. On the north side, the module adjoins the existing deck and opens entirely, fostering a robust linkage across the deck and into the existing house. This design maximises natural light and views by enhancing the seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living spaces and integrating the new construction with the existing structure in a harmonious and functional manner.
